I am a tutor with excellent writing and reading skills who loves to work with kids. I can help students in reading, writing, algebra, elementary math, English, and a variety of other subjects. I received a degree in both Journalism and Speech at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. I am now pursuing my certification in court reporting. I've written professionally for a news station and worked with children as a nanny for multiple families. As a nanny I discovered how much I love helping children. This discovery led me to pursue tutoring, and here I am! I believe that patience is crucial and effective when you are a teacher. I'm not here to tell my students how to do everything. As a tutor I'm meant to guide them along so that they can make the discoveries and learn on their own. It's a privilege to play that role in a child's development. When I'm not working with children I am usually reading a book, or out for a swim or run. I also like to go on hikes and practice yoga.
