Learning should not be frustrating. As a tutor, I help students carve a path through challenging subjects. I take the time to ensure students comprehend the fundamentals of a subject, which is necessary before they can gain a true understanding. Learning then becomes rewarding and fun! I am currently a student at Illinois Wesleyan University, where I am earning my bachelor's degree in Music and Physics. I am also a member of many physical societies, including the SPIE, the APS, and the Society of Physics Students.Through my own academic experiences, I have come to understand that everyone learns in their own way. One teaching method can work really well for one person, and just not fit for another. I enjoy helping my students discover how they learn best. I particularly like helping others prepare for the ACT. It is fulfilling for me to help them determine which test-taking methods work for them. When students are adequately prepared for a test, their scores will improve. I am available to tutor students of all ages in many subjects, including elementary and middle school math skills, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, physics, and Spanish. I can also help students who are taking AP-level courses in physics and music theory.In my free time, I enjoy soccer, solving Rubik's cubes, playing old video games, and playing the violin.
